sad

this is well composed, you got the message through to me very well...I do feel a bit sad when hearing this song

nice dude!

i really like this, though its got more techno aspects then ambient but i am definitely feeling the ambience!

one thing though the beat gets a little repetitive for the span of 8 minutes, i can hear alot of variation but it still has a bit of repetition to it, its not enough to lower the score but just thought i would bring that up :)

anyway i like it! keep the awesomeness comin!

not bad!

i like this one alot better then your other song "ladybug" the two instruments flow together nicely...makes me think of someone sitting inside an old mansion while its raining outside

nicholasmetts responds:

Thanks for the review! Yeah I didnt expect ladybugs to go really well. I just started going to school at the University of Southern Mississippi, and I play in several classical saxophone ensembles. I really want to do a lot more work with saxophone quartets. Although, its seems like there arent very good sound samples for classical saxophone. At least not in finale. And I felt like moving on to something else so I ended up rushing the ending. Thanks for listening! I'm really glad you liked this piece because I put a lot more effort into it.

its decent

its not the worst song ive heard but its not the best, certainly deserving a slightly higher score then what it had.

i would suggest adding in some piano and violin parts to add some variety.

and by the way, everyone on the site gets 0-votes on their music, i have nearly 300 fans and i still get bombed, don't let it discourage you

nicholasmetts responds:

Thank you for the review!

BIT.TRIP FTW!

glad I inspired you to make something :)

I can definitely hear a little BIT.TRIP in this, though it lacks an overall "chiptune" type feeling that BIT.TRIP is known for...I do admit my remixes also lack that overall chiptune feeling

I really like that sudden drum beat at 1:58, nice and strong beat :P

That bass at 2:52 reminds me of exploration in CORE

Tydusis responds:

Wow, I wasn't expecting anyone like you, much less the inspiration, to visit my small, dark corner. This has got to be one of the most constructive reviews I've received. Thank you.

sweet!

i really like how well integrated the drums are into the tune! sounds great!

pichuscute0 responds:

Thanks alot man :D Glad you like it

nice!

This really reminds me of the music in LOZ ocaraina of time at the beginning. then it gets into some kind of epic music track

One thing though, a few of your instruments are kinda loud, might wanna put this on an mp3 player and listen to it at high volume, i find that helps me keep volume under control

T-Free responds:

Thanks for the suggestion, Mike!
Will do that with my new headphones and balance the volumes a bit more. Great I didn't fail at trying classical again. :)

awesomer!

your really getting better, this could easily turn into a drum n bass song, i can really hear that!

nice!

your getting better, definitely hear an improvement, i like the start up at 0:11!

though i do think you could work on improving your volume levels a little more, put this on an ipod or zune and you will hear any volume problems

sweet!

tho, once again, your drums are off sync. which i think is caused by not using legacy pattern blocks and incorrectly placing it on the sequencer.
